Professor Layton and the Curious Village had all the makings for a dark, dreary, creepy and disturbing story; what with the mishapen tower, the crumbling village, the murder, the kidnapping, the deception, the secrets and the near-death experiences. Even the way Layton dresses can easily become something foreboding with a different perspective. But of course the real story is lighthearted and fun. Not that there is anything wrong with that...

I should make this into a real drawing and color it in high resolution.
